A Rapid Anti-Citrullinated Protein Antibody Test (ACPA)

  • Radboud University spearheaded the development of the golden standard assay, anti-CCP2, which was co-developed by Dr. Martin Salden as R&D manager of Euro Diagnostica

  • Martin patented a novel diagnostic RA test and set up the company Novio Catalpa to co-develop with Radboud University a diagnostic test that is much faster, easier, and cheaper

  • This NOVIO anti-CCP test has now been developed to detect the ACPA antibodies in whole blood – a test that only necessitates the introduction of an agglutination medium

The goal is to develop a smart, affordable and scalable test to enable early diagnosis and treatment for patients before irreversible complications.
